BRIDE WARS!

This Sunday, The Wedding Cafe hosted Hawaii's first BRIDE WARS event at the Ward Warehouse centerstage and WOW.... we sure had a BLAST! With over 150 brides, grooms, and their families cheering on the brides competing to win over 40 $250 GCs, you know the energy and bridal buzz was contagious! It was great to see so many brides competing in an all out showdown for MAJOR bridal loot! My friend, Gregg Hammer co-emceed the event and kept everyone laughing the entire time. He even gave away a $500 GC for his emcee services to the first bride who ran up to him and said how many Bride Wars games we were having.... and guess what? He got bombarded with brides!!! The crowd LOVED every minute of it. It took us a month to put together this BRIDE WARS event as we carefully thought out all the details to have over 30 fun-filled, action-packed, on-the-spot games for eager brides. We wanted the prizes to be AWESOME, so our vendors gave us GCs with a minimum value of $250 each. WHOA! We wanted the event to be CRAZY, so there was no entry fee. We wanted brides to BRING IT! And they sure did. My all time favorite game was the infamous cake eating contest... imagine this... two brides have 30 seconds to scarf down as much cake as they possibly can to win a $250 wedding cake GC. With a fork in each hand, the brides went to town on Aloha Cakery's wedding cakes. It was HILARIOUS!!! Also, check out the Star Bulletin article on BRIDE WARS.
